Job Description:

For our client in the rail industry, we are looking for a passionate and committed IT Network Engineer. The position requires to be ready to travel and be on call 24x7.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operation and maintenance of the global network environment (Datacenter / LAN / WLAN / WAN)

• Coordination of our external WAN providers

• Cooperation in projects in the area of IT infrastructure

• Ensuring system documentation, system monitoring

• Installation and maintenance of network components

• Troubleshooting, network optimization

• Processing and solving tickets (2nd level)

• Support for administrators worldwide

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience in the field of networks and network services

• Profound knowledge of networks (IP/MPLS, Layer 2 & Layer 3 network infrastructures, QoS, VPN and firewall) and adjacent areas (DHCP, DNS, etc.)

• Experience with enterprise WLAN solutions

• Strength in conceptual, structured and analytical work

• Team player, cooperative and resilient personality with readiness for on-call duty

• Fluent in German and English

• Readiness to travel and on call 24x7
